EASY COBBLER | |
1/2 stick butter 1 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1 c. self-rising flour 29 oz. can peaches (see note) Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. In blender combine milk, sugar and flour; pour into dish on top of butter, but do not stir. Add can fruit and juice. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Note: If using fresh fruit, use 2 or 3 cups sweeten to taste and cook in a saucepan a few minutes (until heated through) with 1/2 to 3/4 cup water, depending on how watery the fruit is. Blackberries, peaches, strawberries and apples could be used. |
