1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked 15 minutes 3/4 lb white American cheese 3 lbs. onions, sliced & sauteed in 1 stick butter Cook 3 to 4 pounds potatoes. Mash and season with salt, pepper, butter and milk. Add American cheese to potatoes and whip together. Butter a casserole dish. Layer macaroni, mashed potatoes and onion in 2 or 3 layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly. |
