CHICKEN-HAM PINWHEELS | |
1/3 c. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. ground cooked ham 3 c. ground, cooked chicken Hot chicken milk gravy 1 1/4 c. cold chicken milk gravy Baking powder biscuits, 1 lb. dough 4 tbsp. melted butter Brown onions slightly in fat. Combine with ham, chicken and cold gravy and mix well. For the gravy use equal parts seasoned chicken stock and milk, thicken to desired consistency. Prepare biscuit dough. Roll 1/4" thick into rectangular sheet, about 10" wide. Spread meat mixture on dough. Roll as for jelly roll. Cut in 1" slices. Place slices flat in greased shallow baking pans and brush with melted butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until done. Serve with hot chicken gravy. Mushrooms or green pepper may be added to the gravy for extra flavor. |
