Butter pie plate and fill with sliced apples.

Mix together:

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. milk

Spread over apples and bake until done. Turn out on plate as an up-side down cake. Put some butter, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon on top. Serve with milk.
