TACO PIE (EVEN PICKY KIDS LIKE IT!) | |
This recipe is great because you can modify it to your family's taste. I also set out a "taco bar" on the table so people can add other things on their taco pie like: sour cream, black olives, tomato, etc. 1 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1/2 cup onion (optional) 1/4 cup green pepper (optional) 1 1/2 cups taco or Mexican cheese (shredded) 1 can crescent rolls (8 count) Preheat oven to 350°F. Line glass pie dish with crescent rolls to form a crust. Fry ground beef and optional vegetables until thoroughly cooked and drain grease. Add taco seasoning (don't add any water). Put fried beef and optional vegetables in the pie dish. Top with cheese. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until crust edge is brown and cheese is melted. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
