BRAZIL NUT COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp. cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. Brazil nuts, chopped
1/2 c. coconut
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening, add sugar, eggs and cream. Add dry ingredients to flour and mix into first mixture. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Place on greased cookie sheet. Decorate with 1/4 candied cherry on each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
