FREEZER SLAW | |
1 med. cabbage, grated 1 lg. carrot, grated 1 green pepper, minced 1 med. onion, minced 1 tbsp. salt 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. mustard seed 2 c. sugar Combine cabbage, carrot, green pepper, and onion add salt. Mix well; combine vinegar, 1/4 cup water, celery seed and mustard seed and sugar in small pan; boil 1 minute. Cool. Pour over slaw. Mix until well combined. Spoon into plastic freezer containers; freeze. May add mayonnaise to thawed slaw before serving, if desired. |
