This is a great recipe! I like adding a few drops of red food coloring to make it look more like sweet and sour.

This recipe saved my chicken appetizer at Christmas! Great tasting, super-quick, and made with on-hand ingredients. Adding a healthy splash of maraschino cherry juice gives it a nice red color, like what you would get in a restaurant.

Just found you all a few minutes ago.. *LOVE* how fast your site loads on dialup.. And how the recipe itself pops off the page in spite of all the other information because you've highlighted it as a recipe card.. Very cognitively friendly.. Thank you..!! :)

I would give this 50 stars if possible. I just threw out all other sweet & sour recipes. I used only 1/4 tsp. soy sauce - and this is perfect. As I was "taste testing" it, I could not keep the spoon out of the pot. This could be used on just about anything... A DEFINITE KEEPER...

Best sweet & sour sauce, add a tbsp. of cherry juice and it's better than most restaurants! Very simple and quick, will never buy sweet sour sauce again! Thanks

This is better than the stuff they serve in the Chinese restaurants. I did add some red food coloring and then it looked just like the restaurant stuff too. I didn't have any pineapple juice so I substituted that with some kool-aid and it turned out awesome. The next time I made it I used Hawaiin punch and that worked awesome too.
