CRACKLING BREAD | |
2 c. cornmeal 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 c. cracklings, diced Sift cornmeal, salt and soda together. Add milk and stir in cracklings. Form into oblong cakes and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Yields 3 to 4 servings. |
