GRANDPA'S CLAM CHOWDER | |
1 reg. size can Hunt's new potatoes 3 lg. carrots, quartered and diced 1 lg. onion, minced 1 sm. can peas 1 reg. size can mixed vegetables 2 sm. cans whole kernel corn 2 sm. cans bits and pieces mushrooms 4 cans Snow's clam chowder (New England style) 2 cans Gorton's minced clams 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 lb. bacon or ham, diced 8 c. milk Parboil carrots and drain. Saute onion in butter (don't brown) with bacon or ham. Add carrots and remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat immediately. May need extra milk. Serve hot. |
