LOW - CALORIE STRAWBERRY JAM | |
1 c. fresh strawberries, cut up 1/2 to 1 tsp. sugar substitute 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 1 to 2 tsp. unflavored gelatin 1/4 c. apple juice In a small saucepan over high heat, heat fruit, sugar substitute, and lemon juice to boiling; boil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently. Evenly sprinkle unflavored gelatin over apple juice; let stand 1 minute to soften gelatin slightly. Stir gelatin mixture into fruit mixture until gelatin is completely dissolved. Refrigerate until jam thickens. Makes about 1 1/4 cups. About 5 calories per tablespoon. |
