WORLD'S BEST COOKIES 
2 sticks butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil
1 c. reg. oatmeal
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and mix well. Add oil and continue beating. Add oatmeal, corn flakes and coconut, mixing well. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla. Stir in pecans.

Form mixture into balls the size of small walnuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet (12-15 each sheet). Flatten with a fork dipped in water. Bake 325 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool few minutes before removing. May sprinkle with sugar while warm. Yields 7-8 dozen.
