HOMEMADE BROWNIES
2 sticks butter
10 tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
1 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter and sugar, add beaten eggs. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder together, then add gradually, stirring until smooth. Add nuts and mix well. Pour into 9 x 9 inch or 9 x 13 inch pan that has been greased and dusted with flour or cocoa.

You may want to place wax paper cut to the size of your pan in the bottom. It's less messy and never sticks to your pan.

One square of chocolate equals 3 tablespoons cocoa, so you can substitute 3 1/3 squares of chocolate for the cocoa.

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out nearly clean.

Great brownies! The texture was excellent, however the brownies weren't quite as rich and chocolatey (I know that's not a real word, lol) as I prefer. I will still be making these again! I may try adding extra cocoa or using chocolate squares next time, but the original recipe is very good!

Doing a test run for 3 year anniversary, so far so good. It smells great I'm excited to see how it turns out... and critics aka mom & dad its good but needs a light frosting and it is cake like but finer than that. I deem it great, thank you!

Cut the salt to a pinch, and add little coffee and a pinch of cinnamon. Best eaten all gone brownies ever. You'll want to always make these for family and friends, bake sales, etc...
