NO-STICK ROLLED BUTTER COOKIES | |
3 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. pure vanilla 1 cup butter 2 eggs 1 cup sugar Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Cut in butter as you would when making biscuits or a pie crust, using two knives or a pastry blender to mix until the dry mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs (some larger lumps can remain). In a separate bowl, beat eggs and add sugar and vanilla. Combine the two mixtures. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes, then roll out and cut into desired shapes. Bake for 8-10 minutes in a preheated 400°F oven. Makes about 3 dozen. |
