STACEY'S BEST CREAM CHEESE
BROWNIES
 
BROWNIE MIX:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
4 (1 oz. ea.) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped walnuts

CREAM CHEESE FILLING:

2 (8 oz. ea.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides in a 13x9x2-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray (Pam) or Baker's Joy.

In saucepan, melt butter and chocolate at low heat. Remove from heat, allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Make cream cheese filling and set aside.

Beat chocolate mixture, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Scrape bowl together. Then beat in flour and salt. Stir in chopped nuts.

Spread half of the batter in pan. Then spread cream cheese. Then spread the remaining half of chocolate mix on top.

Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick is comes out clean. Cool in pan or on wire rack.

For brownies cut into 8 rows by 6 rows.

Store covered in refrigerator.
