CREAM CHEESE MARBLED BROWNIE
1 (15 1/2 oz.) pkg. fudge brownie mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut up
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Grease a 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan. Baker in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a mixer bowl, beat the cut up cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg; beat to combine. Stir in chopped nuts, if desired. Pour the cream cheese mixture over partially baked layer. Carefully spoon the remaining brownie batter over cream cheese mixture.

To marble the brownies, use a narrow spatula to swirl through the light and dark layers, being careful not to touch the bottom layer. Return to the oven, bake 30-35 minutes more or until brownies test done. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Makes 24 bars.

I made this recipie and it turned out great looking. I didn't have a 9x9 but I did have an 8x11 so it required me to cook the first layer of the brownie for a few xtra minutes before I added the cream cheese and remaing brownie batter. I cooked it for 30 minutes more and they turned out supermoist but not gooey. The look great and cut real easy.
