MILLION DOLLAR SPAGHETTI
CASSEROLE
 
1 (7 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
Salt & pepper
24 oz. tomato sauce
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sour cream
1/2 lb. cottage cheese
1/3 c. minced onion
1 tbsp. minced green pepper
2 tbsp. melted butter

Cook spaghetti and drain. Saute beef in butter until brown. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, onion and green pepper.

In 2 quart casserole, layer half of the spaghetti cheese mixture. Then rest of the spaghetti. Pour melted butter over the top. Put tomato-meat mixture over top. Chill. Remove from refrigerator 20 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until bubbly. This freezes well.

Love, love, love, this recipe you can't go wrong with it! I have been using this one for about 20yrs. Sharing it once again with my 16 GF's this weekend (4 X the recipe).... Also, you can shortcut it by using jars of sauce that way you don't have to add the peppers or onions and spices! I layer from the bottom: Pam (non-stick cooking spray), plain sauce, spaghetti, cheese mix, spaghetti, meat then sauce on top! Enjoy

Great concept and family sort of liked it, but it's missing a key ingredient: flavor. Add a tsp. of basil, oregano and some fresh crushed garlic, like you would for a spaghetti sauce. Skip bottled sauce, it's full of sugar. Cook down some tomatoes, it needs something to kick it up a notch.
