BELLE'S BLACK BEAN CHILI | |
1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1 large onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans black beans 1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree 1 (15 oz.) can corn, drained 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper Preheat a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain. Add onion and garlic and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. Add beans (undrained), tomato purée, corn, chili powder, cumin and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover and lower heat; simmer gently for 10 minutes until thoroughly heated. Makes 6 servings. Submitted by: Belle |
