These cookies are great, easy recipe. I think they great with or without two eggs, with them they are softer and chewier and without them they are like shortbread cookies. 10 to 12 minutes is a good baking time.

Hi Samantha,

Yes, the recipe is calling for baking soda which helps to make the cookies lighter.

Good luck with your cookies! :)

Great late night snack recipe. Took about 4 minutes to get in the oven, about 14 minutes to bake. Add additional oats and flour if humid. Add raisins and you have a somewhat healthful cookie.

The original recipe was great by itself, I tasted the mix, and very easily could have ate the entire bowl, although when I added the egg, and a tsp. of vanilla the cookies turn out soft, fluffy, and delicious!!! :)

I made these cookies and added the extra two eggs and extra 1/2 cup of flour.. However, I used Splenda instead of sugar. I'm not sure I like them that much. It leaves a taste of Splenda after every bite.. I also topped it off with glaze i made. They are still very dry! I'm not sure what went wrong.. any suggestions???

If you add one tsp. salt and one tablespoon of vanilla and two tablespoon of Cinnamon, two eggs you have a great cookie. If not its dry and tasteless.

Hello, I added 1 egg, dried cranberries, a little extra flour, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. 10 minutes for soft and 12 for almost crumbly at 350°F. Oh yeah, also half and half sugar to brown sugar. Awesome.

I added the 2 eggs and extra 1/2 cup of flour. I also used cinnamon roll instant oatmeal packets. This recipe is fun and easy:) My son wouldn't put his hands in it because he said it looked yucky but I did. Lots of fun for all ages!

I added 1 egg, cinnamon, raisins, vanilla, 1/2 cup extra flour and topped with coconut. They were fabulous! Taste so much like a bowl of hot oatmeal. I wanted to add butter. I would recommend these as a thank you gift or any occasion of gift giving.

Loved this recipe, so easy and fast. I did ad the 2 eggs and a package of crushed nut topping. The nuts made it a little dry so I added another egg and they were amazing!!

Yummy easy recipe! I added the two eggs and baked for approximately 10 minutes. I also added some coconut and chopped walnuts for a healthy addition. These were soft yet crispy. Will definitely make again.

This is such a yummy recipe and super easy to make. I'm no baker but was able to bake them easily first time. I took up the suggestions to add eggs, wholemeal flour instead of normal flour, cinnamon and raisins. Second time I added coconut and they were so delicious. I definitely recommend this recipe to anyone. Oh, found out that 15min cooking time was good too. Thanks for the advice all previous commenters :)

Hi! I added the two eggs but also two bananas, chocolate chips and 1/2 cup more of flour. I added the chocolate chips in second last and then melted the butter and added it in last and then mixed all of it together so the chocolate chips melted in the bowl. After about 10 mins in the oven it made the yummiest fluffy cookies that taste like a breakfast bar!
