I made these easy oatmeal cookies. They were best when totally cooled, the next day they were even better, because they were crispy and crunchy. Fresh out of the oven they were not so good.... too mushy. My family absolutely loves this recipe.

Delicious cookies! Just have a comment about the ingredients. When first put my set of cookies in the oven, cookies got flat. I had to add more flour and baking powder. Second set came out excellent!

Cookies are suppose to be flat and crispy. You can also roll them on a wooden spoon handle (right out of oven) and pipe in filling such as a cream cheese frosting or chocolate...whatever you like. Only bake two or three cookies at a time if you roll them. Mine look like waffle cones. If cokies get hard before you can shape them, insert in oven for 1-3 minutes to soften again

WHY do people ruin perfectly good cookies with raisins and NUTS? YACK !!! >:( grrrrr

but in this case ESPECIALLY the nuts, you don't put nuts in oatmeal cookies. RAISINS okay I hate raisins in my cookies, but, oatmeal raisin is actually pretty tolerable of all the deserts with raisins in them. ginger yes, allspice yes, cloves eeeehhh not sure, will not find out because I just can't ruin the cookies by testing the cloves.

Without a doubt, the best tasting, easiest to make, cookie ever. Have saved this recipe and will definitely be making this again. The only spice I used was the cinnamon. I always keep a jar of cinnamon & sugar so used that, substituted almonds for the walnuts, and sea salt instead of regular salt. Because it is so easy, this would be a good cookie to make with kids too. It is amazing how they spread and then get carmelized on the ends so it is like eating candy and a cookie together. Do try this recipe, guaranteed not to disappoint.

Hi I'm Sam. I am 6. I would like to tell you about these cookies today. They are very good because they have a crunchy little oatmeal piece. Instead of raisins we put chocolate chips which are much yummier. I loved making them with my big sister Sydney.
