CALIFORNIA STIR FRY | |
1/2 c. wild rice 2 c. water 6 oz pkg. frozen pea pods 1/4 c. sliced green onions 1 small garlic clove, minced 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Rinse wild rice. In saucepan bring water to boiling; add rice. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 45 min. or until rice is tender and water is absorbed. In a colander thaw pea pods under hot running water. Cut pea pods crosswise in half. In wok or large skillet stir-fry pea pods, onions, and garlic in hot oil 1 to 2 minutes or till pea pods are crisp-tender. Stir in rice, salt, and pepper.
