Sour Cream Sugar Cookie - Recipe

SOUR CREAM SUGAR COOKIE
2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs, well beaten 5-6 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder Cream sugar and butter. Put soda in sour cream and add to softened mixture. Add vanilla and eggs. Sift flour and baking powder into mixture. Mix well. Chill. Roll and cut desired shapes. Decorate however you want. Bake in 375°F oven for 8-10 minutes. Makes 60-75 cookies. Always soft.

Best sugar cookie recipe I have ever tried. I come from a very large "cooking" family, I made these porkies for our Christmas eve party they were gone faster than any other dessert. Everyone asked for the recipe. I will be making these at Easter, and probably before! They are sooo good and moist.

These cookies do stay soft, but the texture reminds me a little of a biscuit instead of a cookie. They taste just fine though.
