GERMAN SOUR CREAM COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 5 egg yolks 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 5 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda Mix butter, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder. Add soda to sour cream and stir. Chill dough several hours. Roll small portions of dough on lightly floured board. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet immediately to cool. Frost with your favorite frosting. |
