SOUR CREAM SUGAR COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. commercial sour cream

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Blend dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream. Roll out on well floured pastry cloth. Cut with Christmas cookie cutters and place on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until light touch with finger makes a slight indentation. Frost and decorate. These cut out so nice and are softer than the sugar cookies you use milk or sweet cream with.
