3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
2 or 3 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Save 1/2 cup flour if needed later. Mix butter, sugar and eggs until creamy. Then add sour cream and vanilla. In another bowl mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Mix until combined. Add dry ingredients to liquid ingredients. Stir in center until mixed. If still sticky add "saved" flour a little at a time. Drop by spoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 350°F 10-12 minutes or until set.

Makes 5 - 6 dozen.
