SOUR CREAM - DROP MOLASSES
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. lard, part butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. sour cream
About 4 c. flour
Chopped raisins and nuts, if desired

Cream lard (or butter) in sugar; add 1 cup sour cream and one cup of molasses to which has been added to the 2 teaspoon of baking soda. Add 1 beaten egg. Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger. Add to the sugar, cream, molasses, egg and lard. If you wish, add the raisins and nuts. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 12 minutes.
