“ONION GRAVY BURGERS” IS IN:

ONION GRAVY BURGERS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup cornflake or cracker crumbs
1 env. onion soup mix (Lipton)
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cups water
2 tbsp. Wondra flour
1/4 tsp. each basil, oregano, garlic powder
4 split hamburger buns, buttered and toasted

Combine ground beef with crumbs, 1/2 pkg. soup mix, milk, and egg until well blended. Shape into 8 patties, 1/2-inch thick. Sauté until browned on both sides.

Combine remaining soup mix, mushrooms and liquid, water, flour, and herbs and garlic powder. Pour over patties. Heat over high heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.

Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.

Serve meat patties over split, buttered and toasted hamburger buns, pouring sauce over each bun half.
