“BROWNIES (EASY METHOD)” IS IN:

BROWNIES (EASY METHOD)
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup toasted pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 325°F degrees.

Grease an 8-inch square pan. Dust lightly with cocoa and shake out excess.

Melt butter and mix it with cocoa powder. Then add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour and salt. Mix to combine. Stir in toasted pecans, if desired.

Butter the baking pan lightly and sprinkle flour or cocoa over the pan until covered. This will help the mixture not to stick to the dish.

Spread brownie batter evenly in pan and put in oven to bake at 325°F for 35 to 40 minutes. When a tooth pick is inserted and it comes out clean the brownies are ready.

Allow to cool until warm before cutting.

These brownies turned out really good. I made them in a mini-cupcake pan and cooked for only 25 min. They are a great consistency crusty on the top, but semi-chewy in the center.

Thanks so much. My first attempt to bake and it was a success. But I think I put a little bit too much cocoa. Haha.

This recipe was very good, although it was not enough to fit in the 9 x 13 pan. It works very well to double the recipe. The taste is pretty good and has a crunchy edge.
