BOOTLEGGER BEANS 
3 strips bacon
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 lg. can pork and beans
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. catsup

Dice bacon and fry until half done. Add onion. When onion is slightly browned, pour off most of the grease and add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes or longer, or bake in a slow oven (300 degrees) for a few hours.
