MOM'S FUDGE 
3 c. sugar
2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 1/2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Cheerio's

In a saucepan mix sugar, cocoa, milk and salt. Boil slowly, until a drop or 2 of the fudge in a little cold water will form a small soft ball or to 234 degrees on a candy thermometer.

Next add butter and vanilla, mix well. Do not burn. Add Cheerio's until all are covered with fudge.

Remove from heat and pour into a lightly greased (or buttered) pan until set. Cut into squares or rounds.
