CREAMED ONIONS 
3 c. onions, sliced (boiler onions) (or use 3 c. very petit onions, unsliced)
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
1 c. milk
Dash pepper

Cook onions, covered, in a large amount of boiling, salted water. Drain. In a saucepan, mix butter, flour, salt, thyme and dash of pepper. Blend in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in onions. Heat through. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
