CREAM CHEESE TARTS 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, soft
1/2 c. butter, soft
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. commercial or homemade preserves
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

Blend cream cheese and butter. Add flour and salt. Form dough in ball. Chill 3-4 hours. Mix preserves and nuts. Divide dough in half, on lightly floured surface roll each half into 12 x 10 rectangle, 1/8 inch thick. Cut each into 20 (2 1/2 inch) squares. Place 1/2 teaspoon preserves in center of each square. Moisten edges and fold in triangle. Seal edges with fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool and coat in powdered sugar. Freezes well.
