3 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, can use 2 sticks butter
4 eggs
3 level tsp. baking powder
1 cup sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together the butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Add flour mixture and milk to creamed sugar and butter, alternating flour and milk. Begin and end with flour. Add vanilla.

Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350°F for 45-50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
