SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lbs. butternut squash
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mace
2 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices

Cut squash in half; remove seeds and fibers. Pare; cut into 1/2 inch slices. Arrange squash in ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Top with apple slices. Sprinkle mixed dry ingredients on top and dribble melted butter over top. Cover with foil and bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 6 to 8.
