SEMI-SWEET DILL PICKLES 
2 c. water
1 c. vinegar
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
Dill, onion & pickling spice
Enough pickles to fill 3 qts.

In sterilized jars, put onion (small amount), pickling spice. Boil water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Put cucumbers in until they change color. Pack in jars while hot. Put dill on top. Fill jars with boiling brine and seal.
