SWEET & SOUR REFRIGERATOR DILL
PICKLES
 
This recipes dates back from the late 1940's, early 1950's.

4 quarts whole cucumbers
4 or 5 large dill sprigs
1 tbsp. dill
6 peppercorns, crushed
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup salt
3 cups sugar
1 quart vinegar

Slice cucumbers 1/8-inch thick. Put in jars with dill sprigs, garlic, and peppercorns. Should go in 4 or 5 quart jars.

Dissolve 1/2 cup salt, 3 cups sugar into 1 quart vinegar, stir well. Pour cold over cucumbers in jars.

Keep in refrigerator, keeps well.
