HOMEMADE HOT FUDGE SAUCE 
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 cups sugar
4 (1 oz. ea.) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat milk and sugar to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Add chocolate and salt, stir until chocolate is melted. Then beat with hand mixer until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Serve hot on ice cream or chill if desired.

Makes about 3 cups.
