CHOCOLATE INTRIGUE CAKE 
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup Hershey's syrup
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs, one at a time. Mix all with milk and vanilla. Blend well.

Turn 2/3 of batter into 10-inch tube pan, greased on bottom. Add syrup, baking soda and vanilla to remaining batter; mix well. Pour over white batter.

Bake in 350°F oven for 65 to 70 minutes.
