My whole family loves this yummy desert, and I love it because it so very easy! I omit the nuts and use a few more pats of butter than 1/2 cup. The hardest part of this recipe is opening the cans of fruit!

My cake mix was 15.25 oz and pineapple can was 20oz and it still turned out great. I mixed the pineapple and canned fruit together instead of spreading one on top of the other. If you give it time to cool the top gets crispy. I will make this again when I'm in a hurry.

I made this for Easter this past Sunday. Didn't use nuts but did serve it with vanilla ice cream. IT WAS A HUGE HUGE HIT! Everyone LOOVED it and kept raving about it. It was the perfect choice. Glad I made it.

This has been one of my favs for years sense the first time my Mamma made it. My favorite part is the crust, I love picking at it. I would get in trouble every time. I wonder is there a way i could just make the crust yummmmmmy. I also mix my pineapples and cherry.

I use apple pie filling instead of cherry, and both pecans and coconut. My recipe calls for 1 cup of melted margarine over top. Delicious!

You are not limited to the fruit you can use, I have used peaches and pears and substituted shredded coconut for nuts.

I lost my 'original' recipe for Dump cake. I have experienced different versions over the years, but none so good as the original. I am elated! The oven is heating and I am ready to dump!!
