PATTY MELT PARTY PIZZAS | |
These toasty snacks with a twist on the popular "Hanky Panky" have all the flavors of the beloved Patty Melt! They're perfect for tailgate parties or holiday gatherings. 2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 medium yellow onion, chopped 1-1/2 teaspoons salt Pepper to taste 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 loaf cocktail rye bread 1 cup Thousand Island dressing (room temperature) In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown ground beef and onion with salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Drain if necessary. Add shredded cheeses to beef. Stir until cheese is fully-melted. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place cocktail breads on a baking sheet in rows; spread approximately 1 heaping Tbsp. of the beef/cheese mixture on each bread slice. Bake pizzas for 10-12 minutes or until bread is toasted and cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, transfer Thousand Island dressing to a plastic squeeze bottle. Arrange pizzas on a serving platter and drizzle each with about 1 tsp. of dressing. Serve warm and enjoy! NOTE: Pizzas can be frozen on a cookie sheet prior to baking. Submitted by: Carol |
