CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE | |
3 c. white sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 4 eggs, beaten 1 regular can evaporated milk 1 c. chopped pecans pinch of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 stick butter, melted 3 regular size pie shells 1/2 c. chopped pecans (for top of each pie) Mix dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa and salt) first. Add milk, vanilla, eggs and melted butter to the dry mixture. Add chopped pecans. Pour the mixture evenly into the 3 pie shells. Add extra chopped pecans to each pie until the nuts cover the entire surface of each pie (make sure the pecans are mixed in with the pie filling, not just lying on top of the pie). Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 to 35 minutes. |
