Top this yummy creation with French's fried onion (like you use for Green Bean Casserole), or blanket this with shredded or chopped mozzarella, or provolone cheese. Live dangerously, and do both. If you need crunch, like me, toss in several handfuls of crushed Corn Flakes cereal, or for something healthier, but a bit off beat, uncooked oatmeal (not much crunch, but delicious) Swap out peas for chopped broccoli, which is delicious with the provolone cheese.

I use the parboiled noodles no macaroni but use Chinese vegetables instead of peas. Then I top it with crispy noodles.

My husband loves this for Lent so for the first Friday mighta as well just get it out of the way. Instead of the Cream of Mushroom I use the Cream of Celery, I also use the Half and Half instead of the milk. It just brings up the creamy taste a notch. Then on the top he likes to spread some French Onion rings from the can and chop them up in the Ninja and spread them over the top. Really gives a look and a different taste. We are in the middle of a move an the person helping loves this recipe so this will be one recipe to be eaten for sure. Glad I have this recipe to turn to. Easy!
