| EASY-FAMOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |

1 cup (2 sticks) butter (softened) 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 cups chocolate morsels 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a large mixing bowl, Mix butter, sugars and vanilla together with an electric blender until well blended and creamy. Add eggs (one at a time). Mix dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. Mix dry ingredients with creamy batter until well blended and thicker. Fold in morsels and nuts. Spoon batter onto pan a inch apart. The recipe was great and really easy. I didn't have vanilla extract and baking soda. Instead of baking soda, I added an extra tsp of baking powder. I found the batter to be hard to mix towards the end and added about 1/3 cup of heavy cream. The cookies came out great, my nieces and family really enjoyed them.
