Awesome recipe!!! My first attempt on baking cookies was a hit thanks to this recipe. Only difference is that I did not use baking soda and kept the cookies for exact 15 mins since I like them crisp. Absolutely yummmyyyy!!

This recipe was very esy. So easy, infact it was great mommy and daughter time! I had to bake them a little longer than the 13 min that others had suggested, different ovens vary, so I just kept a close eye on them. They were delicious!!!!!

This was my first batch of cookies I taught to my 14 year old daughter. (Starting the Independent Lessons, basically.) It was perfect! She had a chance to put those fractions lessons into use, and got a fabulous reward at the end!
Extra note: For those of you with family dogs, we reduced the recipe to 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, so we could make some cookies without the chocolate (which is lethal to dogs). Our dog got to have fun, too, and my daughter was excited to be able to make her a special treat! (Of course, afterwards we brushed our teeth, and brushed our dog's teeth, too!)

I added the brown sugar but left out the regular sugar. Still delicious! Good way to cut carbs and balance out the butter ;)

These cookies are SO good - and not just in a pinch! :-) My kids (ages 3 and 5) helped me make them. The post about 13 minutes being the perfect baking time was correct. For super gooey centers, subtract a minute. Thanks for the recipe!

This is an excellent recipe. I tried it many times and I ended up with perfectly soft and chocolatey cookies. The exact baking time is 13 minutes for each cookie sheet. After exactly 13 minutes, remove the cookie sheet from oven, let it cool for 8 minutes on the cookie tray on your counter top, then immediately transfer the cookies in an airtight cookie jar. Thanks to BRE for the perfect recipe.
