Yes, this syrup rocks. My kids like it better than store-bought now. Anyways, adding natural peanut butter (replace some of the butter) and some cinnamon is DELISH!!!

This recipe is fantastic! Like many above, I didn't have syrup for my husbands pancakes in bed, so I decided I would try to make some. I'm not a great cook, and I thought he would like the effort even if it wasn't very tasty, but it was! I didn't have maple flavoring either, so instead I used vanilla extract and a little bit of Pumpkin Pie Spice. It was fantastic!

Amazing! So good and fluffy! I had a lot of kids so I doubled the recipe and added 2 cups mashed bananas and 1/2 cup chic chips and a dash of nutmeg. The kids LOVED it! I loved it! Will def use this from now on.

This recipe is just like the one my mother made us growing up. To die for. Also great thing to try, before the syrup put peanut butter on the pancakes. This is the only way I will eat them.

I used chamomile tea in place of the water, and homemade vanilla extract instead of maple, and it was absolutely delicious! Will try to thicken it a bit next time using cornstarch.
