PAN FRIED PORK CHOPS WITH ONIONS
4 thick-cut loin pork chops
2 large yellows onions, sliced into rings
3 tbsp. butter
lemon pepper seasoning (Lawry's)
Kosher salt

Melt butter in a large non-stick fry pan (with lid). Sprinkle each side of the pork chops with lemon pepper and salt. Place into fry pan with butter at medium heat. Cook chops for about 7 minutes on each side or until each browns slightly. Add onions and cover the pan with lid. Turn down heat to low and cook for about 45 more minutes, turning chops frequently.

Uncover pan, turn heat up to medium and cook down onions until almost caramelized, about 10 minutes more. Add a bit of water, if needed to make gravy. Chops should be almost fork tender.

Serving suggestion: applesauce side salad or sweet 'n sour red cabbage.

Serves 4.

These pork chops were delicious! The onions provided a nice flavor and texture to the dish. I'd definitely make this again.
