APPLE BUTTER | |
7 lbs. apples (approx 16 cups) 3 lbs. brown sugar 1 cup vinegar, cider, or water 2 tbsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves Cook apples until soft and press through a sieve. Add remaining ingredients and put into oven. Bake at 350°F for 3 hours or until of desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Pour into pint jars and seal. Process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. |
