GELATIN TRIFLE LAYERED DESSERT 
2 sm. pkg. cherry or raspberry gelatin
2 sm. pkg. vanilla pudding, cooked or instant
No. 2 can fruit cocktail
1 med. ripe banana, cut in small pieces

Drain can of fruit, save juice to use in Jello. Stir banana into other fruit. Make Jello as directed for quick setting. Stir all fruit into Jello. Into trifle bowl, dip first layer of fruited Jello to 1/2 inch depth. Place in refrigerator to set. Do NOT chill remainder of fruited Jello at this time. Prepare pudding as directed (if using cooked pudding, make sure it is cooled before adding to Jello). When first layer of Jello is set, add a layer of pudding, spreading evenly; chill to set. When pudding is set, continue to alternate layers, finishing with Jello for top layer. Before serving "Trifle" heap with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Decorate with maraschino cherries or raspberries, as desired.
