These cookies are AMAZING! They are fun to make with your kids and fun to eat as well! When they say quarter size balls, dont go any bigger! you will end up with huge cookies because the dough spreads to much! LOVE THIS RECIPE!!!!

AMAZING! ADDICTIVE! I took Amys advice on quarter size balls and she is right that is the perfect size. Everyone loved these, even my husband who doesnt care for peanut butter cookies.

This dough does spread. However, this does not produce the standard "peanut butter" kiss cookie that you might think. True its a cookie but it became more of a basic peanut butter cookie with a kiss in the middle. I did follow the recipe and am slightly dissapointed. Taste is fine but the "look" is not.

Jeremy is right. They aren't the typical peanut butter hershey kiss cookies because they do flatten out, but the cookie itself is amazing. I ended up not even using the kisses because they looked silly and were better without them!

they probably went flat bacause of the large amount of flour being used only need about 1-1/2 c. of flour

Good cookie, but too big - make smaller size balls so kiss doesn't get lost in flat cookie.

Just wondering if you made these without the kiss in the middle would they come out ok? I was originally looking for the PB criss-cross cookies but have always like that these were dipped in sugar... wonder if you can make these without the kiss and then do the criss cross before putting them in oven? Or are they going to spread too much to matter?

 CINDY (North Carolina) says:
Jennifer, yes you can use this recipe do the criss cross before putting in the oven. My son was home from college and wanted some of the ones with the kisses and I knew my husband would rather have some just plain. I decided to try it and they turned out fine. Pretty and round. Looked just like the good old fashion homemade peanut butter cookies with the criss-cross :) Just came out of the oven a couple hours ago. Already ate too many. But they were good. Had some Chocolate chip too.

This is a great recipe. Use Brach's Chocolate Stars instead of Kisses. They are much better and you don't get a huge glob of chocolate when you take a bite.

So here is what I did and they came out perfect. I used 2 cups flour so a little less like someone suggested and then used a cookie scoop and then cut that in 1/2 so I got 2x as many cookies out of the batch and cooked them for about 6 min. And they were the perfect size for the kiss on top.

How can you possible get 72 cookies out of this recipe? Mine are not large or too small and all I could get is 56. They are delicious but wished I had gotten more for all the time it takes.
