DAVID'S SUPER EASY HOT WINGS | |
3 lb. fresh wingettes (easy pre-cut chicken wings) all-purpose flour black pepper (optional) Note: You can get wingettes now at most stores. Or buy regular wings, cut them into sections and discard tips. DAVE'S SPECIAL SAUCE: 1 1/2 cups FRANK'S® Red Hot hot sauce 1 1/2 cups Louisiana brand hot sauce Texas Pete's pepper sauce (several dashes) 1 tbsp. lemon juice white vinegar In a 3-quart sauce pan add 1 1/2 cups of FRANK'S® Red Hot hot sauce. Add 1 1/2 cups of Louisiana Brand hot sauce. Add several dashes of Texas Pete's pepper sauce. Add one tablespoon of full strength lemon juice Add white vinegar until the sauce pan is half-full. Simmer over low heat for an hour or more. Give the wingettes a light dusting of flour that has been mixed with a little black pepper (if desired). Place the chicken on two baking sheets greased lightly with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Bake in oven at 375°F for 30 minutes, turning once halfway through. When the chicken is done, drop the pieces into the hot sauce, soaking the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with celery, using the sauce as a dip for the celery if you wish or a favorite dressing. Serves about 4. Submitted by: David Southerland |
